J. Anderson “Andy” Mullins, Attorney at Law
Background
Andy was born in Columbia, Missouri and bounced around the south throughout his younger years. As the only child of a U.S. Army physician, he lived in San Antonio, Texas, and then in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He arrived in the area with his family in 1991 and has called it home ever since.
Andy attended Tabb High School and participated in a wide variety of activities. He was a four year letter winner in varsity swimming at Tabb, and also participated in four musicals there. He earned his Eagle Scout in 1995 and has remained active in scouting, holding various positions throughout his life. Currently, Andy is the Vice President for Membership on the Executive Committee for the board of the Colonial Virginia Council based in Newport News.
Four years at the University of Virginia produced many wonderful memories and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Andy continues to stay connected to the University of Virginia through alumni activities and serves on the Executive Board of his fraternity, Phi Society. After the University of Virginia, he attended Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach and received his Juris Doctor in 2005.
After a brief stint in Charlottesville after graduating from law school, Andy returned to Hampton Roads and to the law. He is an active member of the Newport News Bar Association and is currently the President-Elect of the Warwick Rotary Club. Community service is very important to him and he enjoys making his community a better place.
