D. Wayne Moore
:   
        Mr. D. Wayne Moore has been a long time asset to the Hampton Roads community. He is a Poquoson, Virginia native and has been serving as an attorney in Hampton Roads since 1967.  In addition to his active private practice of the law, Mr. Moore has served as the City Attorney for Poquoson since 1997 and the Commissioner of Accounts for York County since 1988.  In the past, he has served as Chairman of the Virginia Conference of Commissioners of Accounts and President of the Thomas Nelson Community College Board.  Mr. Moore is a travel and golf enthusiast and is a proud alumni of the University of Virginia, where he earned both is Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor.

Mr. D. Wayne Moore has been published in the 2008 Legal Elite feature of Virginia Business magazine, December 2008 issue. Background; The Legal Elite ballot allows voters to nominate lawyers in 15 legal categories, which are chosen in consultation with the Virginia Bar Association. The ballot has two sections: an “inside” section in which lawyers can vote for colleagues in their own firms and an “outside” section in which they vote for lawyers working for other firms. For a ballot to be valid, it must have as many “outside” nominees as “inside” nominees.  Votes for “outside” lawyers are given greater weight in arriving at a point total for each nominee.

James R. Corbett:
        Mr. James R. Corbett is a former serviceman with the United States Marine Corps Reserves.  From 1971 until 1990, Mr. Corbett was in private practice and returned to private practice in 2000, after serving as Underwriting Counsel to Chicago Title Insurance Company for ten years.  Mr. Corbett earned his Bachelor of Art’s degree from East Carolina College in his home state and his Juris Doctor from the Marshall Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.  Mr. Corbett is an avid outdoorsman.

Lisa M. Moore:
        Ms. Lisa M. Moore is a Newport News, Virginia native, who attended Menchville High School and was the valedictorian of her 1996 graduating class.  After graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with her Bachelor of Arts’ degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, Ms. Moore clerked for two years with the honorable judges of the Newport News Circuit Court.  She is currently  the Vice President of the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association.  She is also active in the Newport News Bar Association and the Junior League of Hampton Roads.  Ms. Moore develops her artistic and writing skills in her free time.
